I may have lost my fashion spark…

Lately, I’ve come to the realization that I may have genuinely lost my fashion spark. I like fashion, but I don’t engage with it as much as I did before. I used to be obsessed with it, but now my style feels more bland. I don’t sit down and feel that genuine fashion spark anymore.

Back then, I could put together outfits easily and was deeply invested in fashion YouTube channels. I had a crazy obsession with fashion and runway models; I would watch Loïc Prigent and other fashion channels. However, I feel like after PAQ broke up, I lost that spark. I’ve tried to reignite it, but it hasn’t worked well. I still struggle to get into that creative mindset. It was largely because of these people that I got into fashion, and knowing that PAQ might genuinely never come back brings me to tears. I feel like a younger part of me has been forgotten and lost. I don’t really remember what life was like when I was watching these creators.

I think this also has to do with the fact that YouTube content has changed over the years, making it harder for me to rediscover that spark. While some creators bring back a hint of it, it’s rare for that spark to last long. One YouTube channel I’m currently watching is Isabella Vrana. Based in London and owning her own brand, I love her versatile style. It’s so unique that it inspires me to be more creative.

Another channel I discovered late last year is “OURS,” featuring three Japanese guys who talk about fashion, including things they’ve bought recently. They also take us along on their shopping adventures. I love them because they helped me discover a part of myself I didn’t know I had. I’ve become more interested in the way they dress, and it feels good to embrace that style. They’ve introduced me to brands to consider and items to invest in. Like Isabella, they also have their own brand called STRONG. I’m particularly intrigued by their fashion shopper videos; it feels like I’m shopping with them, even though I’m not actually there. This has made me seek unique pieces to add to my wardrobe, and I’ve developed a growing interest in Japanese fashion. I hope to one day invest in pieces from both Isabella Vrana and STRONG.

There’s definitely potential to regain that spark, but it feels mild, you know? I could have a room filled with lights from the fulfillment of having that fashion spark. Another YouTuber I almost forgot to mention is Koleen Diaz. She is phenomenal, and I love her style. At times, I want to recreate her outfits, like how she styles sweatpants with a tank top, loafers, and a cap, accessorized with lots of jewelry. She has her own jewelry brand, and I NEED to buy from her, like, right now. I love how she styles things so well and makes them work for her. I’ve known of her since 2021, but it’s more recently that I’ve started to watch her for inspiration. Her partner just released these cool rings that are also watches, and I’m so obsessed. I’m definitely going to spend some coins on a couple of those.

As I navigate this journey to rediscover my fashion spark, I realize it’s all about the inspiration we find along the way. Whether it’s through the creators who ignite our passion or the unique pieces that speak to us, fashion is a personal expression that can evolve. I’m excited to keep exploring and sharing my journey with you all!
