Things I hope to wear this spring/summer

SPRING IS HERE AHHHHHHH!!! It’s finally the good time of the year when things are starting to look joyful again. So, I’ve been thinking and scrolling through my Pinterest, trying to figure out what I will wear. I’ve found some inspiration and would love to share it with you all. Now, I know this might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but hey, it’s MY OPINION! So, I have every right to express what I like, whether it’s popular or not.

First up, let’s talk about capris. You might be thinking, “Girl, what’s up with you?!” Well, let me tell you, I just like capris. Back in the day, I used to despise them, along with other things like thrifting, ballet flats, and boleros. My mom would always make me wear them, and I hated it. But now, seeing that others appreciate these things, I’ve grown to like them too. However, I realize I’ve been shaping my fashion choices based on others’ preferences rather than my own. But enough with the introspection! I envision wearing capris during these seasons paired with plain sneakers or ballet flats, topped with tank tops and either a cardigan or a bolero. And to complete the look, accessorize with my Coach baguette bag or the other bag my friend gifted me for Christmas.

Next on my list for these seasons: shorts with knee-high boots. It’s like bringing a touch of fall and winter into spring and summer. I love the idea of wearing tights with shorts on cool spring days, adding a cozy feel to my outfit. I’ll probably play around with adding color through the tights. I’m thinking of pairing my black Miu Miu dupe boots(from EGO) with a belt to make a statement or simply opting for a cool bag as the pièce de résistance.

Another thing I’m eager to incorporate into my wardrobe without feeling uncomfortable: tank tops. They’re a summer staple that you just have to have. Plus, they’re so versatile, allowing for various styling options. I particularly love the plain white ones for their ease of styling.

And of course, skirts are a must! They’re like the sister to shorts, but with a bit more flair. You can never go wrong with a skirt or skort; they’ve always been a wardrobe staple for girls. I adore the flexibility of styling them with sneakers, ballet flats, sandals, or boots.

Now, onto the rising trend of soccer jerseys and football jerseys since Summer and Winter of ’22. Count me in on this trend! As a soccer enthusiast, I’m all for it. I’m definitely going to rock my soccer kits this summer and might even invest in some new ones. I’ve been eyeing a vintage Manchester United kit from the ’90s; there’s just something so cool about its simplicity. And let’s not forget about the new Real Madrid kit in collaboration with Yohji Yamamoto—absolutely stunning! Oh, and with Mbappe joining Real Madrid at the end of the season, I can’t wait to get my hands on that kit with his name on it. Last summer, my cousin surprised me with the PSG kit featuring Mbappe’s name, and I was over the moon. Soccer kits are definitely a must-have.

Overall, I’m feeling optimistic about this spring/summer—it’s going to be fun and eventful. I can’t wait to wear these outfits and show you all how I style them instead of just describing them. Let’s make it a stylish season!
